The Cedar Wood Essential Oil is extracted with the help of steam distillation from the wood pieces of Cedar Wood tree. Cedar Wood is a plant of cold climate and found in high altitudes. Herbal and pet shampoos and natural repellents contain Cedarwood Oil as an active ingredient. Cedar chests have always been used to store woolen articles and protect them from the larvae of clothes moths.
Aromatic Description: Fresh, woody, balsamic. It strongly resembles the aroma of cedar chests and closets.
Possible Uses: Cedarwood Essential Oil has been used for fungal growths, muscular aches and pains, warts, rheumatism, skin afflictions, as well as cosmetics, perfumes, and scenting soaps. It is believed to have antiseptic, aphrodisiac, astringent, diuretic, expectorant, fungicidal, mucilytic, sedative (nervous), stimulant (circulatory) and tonic properties.
Blends well with: Cassia, Naiouli, Clary Sage, Rosemary, Ylang-ylang.
General Safety Information: We recommend using our essetial oils with aromatherapy techniques by adding to a medium that will release it's natural essence into the air: Potpouri, Oil burners, cotton balls, etc. Make your own massage oid by adding 5 parts essential oil to 95 parts carrier oil (Almond, Avocado, Grapeseed Oil).
